This will be the first webinar for the Paediatric Ophthalmology Extended Role CAG taking place at 6pm on the 18th January 2021. The event will consist of 3 talks ranging across the Paediatric Ophthalmology spectrum of work. BIOS CONFERENCE & AGM
The BIOS conference and AGM will be held over two days: Friday 11th June - Afternoon - 1:00pm-4.30pm will be an interesting afternoon of talks from orthoptists newly trained in extended roles (IVT, JIA and Glaucoma) and the CAG leads giving an update and the benefits of CAG membership. Are you keen to develop you clinic teaching skills? There are limited places available for the BIOS clinical tutor course. The course fulfils the requirements for Lead Clinical Tutor. This course will be delivered remotely with some work to be carried out independently prior to the course, and between the sessions. The course will cover; the expectations of students at each stage in the course, how to adapt your teaching to suit your learners, how to adapt your work environment to maximise learning, balancing clinical pressures whilst providing a productive learning experience, giving constructive feedback writing assessments. Refresher Clinical Tutors Course
In addition to the popular Clinical Tutors Course (CTC), for which new dates will be available soon, EPDC have agreed a short refresher clinical tutors' course for people who have already attended a CTC or are a DBO(D). There will be 4 x approx 1 hour online Zoom sessions with a short piece of homework, marking some pre written assessments, between sessions 3 and 4.
