Our Listening sessions will last an hour and are open to all BIOS members. This will enable us to reach out to members and give you a chance ask questions and provide feedback to help shape the support we provide. Sessions will be running over two weeks starting from the 5th October 2020  and will be an hour long with a range of times and dates to facilitate attendance. This event will celebrate both the diverse and generic roles that the orthoptic non registered / support workforce have that contribute to patients' care pathways in Orthoptics and ophthalmology.  The event will also seek to understand the training needs of this workforce to help us develop national standards and competencies along with national job profiles to support career development. The focus of this clinical day is the provision of evidence based care for patients with SEN. An informative and interesting programme is currently being prepared, and confirmed speakers include Rachel Pilling (Consultant Ophthalmologist, Bradford Royal Infirmary) and Richard Bowman (Consultant Ophthalmologist, GOSH).  There will also be a Q&A session with the speakers facilitated by Anna O’Connor, giving you the opportunity to put questions to our speakers.
