BIOS Research Day

This is NOT just for people who want a research career – although it might make you want one!

We are hoping to help people to put a toe in the water to add to the research-base of what we do; and the first step is usually by looking objectively at what you do now.

The day will be a mixture of sessions and workshops on practical research skills such as

                Getting the most out of the literature

                Doing a good audit – then how to follow it up

                What peer reviewers look for

                Doing a good abstract / poster / presentation

                Persuading people with your evidence

                Refining a research question

Teas and coffees will be provided.
