The LOOP ( Leads of Orthoptic Profession) have a vacancy for a steering committee member and we would welcome any expressions of interest from those who are interested in taking up this role. This role is open to Heads of service or anyone with a leadership role in Orthoptics.
The aims of LOOP include providing advice and support to orthoptic heads, deputy heads and leads of orthoptic services.
LOOP provide a forum for advice and questions and to share best practice information, often in the form of emails and surveys to members. We also aim to raise awareness of issues relating to eye health and provide advice and direction on the priorities for the Orthoptic profession and to member organisations.
As we are scattered across all corners of the British Isles, the steering group hold regular tele-conferences to plan events and discuss strategy and priorities for the group.
