BIOS Clinical Tutors Day 2023
The BIOS Clinical Tutors Day is an annual event for all Orthoptists involved in practice-based education (placements). The day will involve a short update from the 4 UK HEIs that offer pre-registration Orthoptic training, followed by a mix of updates, discussions, rapid-fire presentations and group activities. The day has been designed with specific recognition that it has been a long time since the last face-to-face meeting and thus there is a need for protected time to network and hold an open discussion. BIOS Clinical Tutors Course (Summer 2023)
Are you keen to develop your clinic teaching skills? There are limited places available for the BIOS clinical tutors’ course. The course fulfils the requirements for Lead Clinical Tutor. This course will be delivered face to face with some work to be carried out independently prior to the course, and between the sessions. Online forum for Orthoptic clinical tutors. Aim is to provide opportunity to discuss topics relevant to the provision of clinical placements for undergraduate and postgraduate orthoptic students.
