Clinical Tutors Forum: Managing reasonable adjustments – Friday 10th October 2025 online
Online forum for orthoptic clinical tutors. The aim is to provide an opportunity to discuss topics relevant to the provision of clinical placements for undergraduate and postgraduate orthoptic students. This forum will focus on providing ideas and new approaches to help tutors optimise non-patient contact teaching opportunities. BIOS Clinical Tutor Course (Autumn 2025) – 13th & 14th November 2025
Are you keen to develop your clinic teaching skills? There are limited places available for the BIOS Clinical Tutor Course. The course fulfils the requirements for Lead Clinical Tutor. This course will be delivered face to face and will cover; • How to create a welcoming and inclusive learning environment • how to adapt your teaching to suit your learners, • how to adapt your work environment to maximise learning, • balancing clinical pressures whilst providing a productive learning experience, • giving constructive feedback • writing assessments.
