*The Stroke and Neuro Rehab CAG are holding a study day for case based discussions, titled:

“What happens when orthoptic input is delayed?”

The CAG would like to invite orthoptists to share a ~5min case presentation. Cases will present instances where a patient has been misdiagnosed, had care delayed or other events due to a delay in orthoptic input to their care.

The aim for the session will be to discuss the cases, and to subsequently publish these case studies in a peer reviewed journal.

Anyone who contributes a case to the session will be invited to be part of the working group, as an author on the paper. A PowerPoint template will be provided to support you writing your case presentation and all presentations will be pre-recorded.

Please submit presentations by 20/09/21.

Please submit pre-recorded presentations by 21/10/21.

Through this work, we hope to be able to provide evidence to support orthoptists’ roles in stroke and neuro clinics.

The session is open to those who wish to submit a case presentation, or to anyone who simply wishes to attend the session to join the discussion including in the chat box (delegates who are not presenting can register up to the 25/10/21).
