Leave the M8 at Junction 3 and head South on the A899 into the centre of Livingston.
After 1.3 miles bear off left onto a slip road marked for the hospital and Howden – and go 270° [see map] making this effectively a right turn now heading West.
After 0.4 miles, bear second left [signed for hospital] up a ramp and then turn right at the top.
Go a further 0.4 miles over the brow of the hill until you see the hospital on your left.
Free parking in all ‘visitor’ areas.
Aidrie train to Edinburgh- Livingston North station-20-25 minute walk to hospital. There are also bus services from the road opposite the station to St John’s Hospital.
Glasgow central train to Edinburgh train- Livingston South station, 25-30 minute walk to St John’s hospital.
The First Group 21 Bus from St Andrew’s House, Regent Road, Edinburgh stops at St John’s Hospital.
